General Terms and Returns

Vernisse S.r.l.s., with registered office in Rome, via Antonio Bertoloni 26, 00197 tax code and vat number 15190541001 registered at the Rome companies house (hereinafter "Vernisse") owns and runs the website www.vernisse.it (hereinafter the "website") for the online sale of products under the trademark Vernisse ® (hereinafter the “products").

1. Scope of this agreement

These terms and conditions govern the offer and sale of the products through the website. By using the website, customers agree to these conditions of sale and therefore Vernisse invites everybody to them carefully.

These conditions of sale may, at any time, be unilaterally updated and/or amended by Vernisse, therefore, we recommend customers to regularly access these terms and conditions before placing an order.

In the event that the customer does not agree, in whole or in part, with these terms and conditions, please refrain from placing any order and from using the website.

2. Customer’s obligations

Customers placing orders declare to have examined and accepted the conditions of sale.

Customers shall not use or communicate false or misleading information during the registration procedure and in any further communication with Vernisse. Customers are therefore solely responsible for the truthfulness and correctness of the information and data provided to Vernisse and undertakes to communicate any related changes to the information or data provided. Customers declare to be at least of 18 years of age.

3. Purchase

Vernisse offers through its website the sale of high-quality products. Each product sold through the website is accompanied by an accurate and detailed description of its essential qualities. Vernisse does not guarantee that the images and colors of the products correspond exactly to the actual ones, as they may be modified depending on the type of monitor or internet browser used by customers.

Customers who intend to purchase the products will have to follow the instructions on the website by placing an invitation to offer according to art. 1326 of the Italian civil code. The contract is concluded at the headquarters of Vernisse in via Antonio Bertoloni 26, Rome, Italy.

Vernisse’s acceptance of the customers’ offer will be confirmed by email sent to the customers’ email address provided when the order is completed and will contain a summary of the order made, the products purchased, and the link to these terms and conditions of sale.

The contract will be concluded and fully effective once the full payment is completed. The conclusion of the contract is however conditioned to the actual availability of the products in stock. For this reason, even after the acceptance of the offer, Vernisse shall not be liable for the unavailability of products.

Vernisse is committed to promptly notify customers of any stock unavailability due to excess demand or to other causes. it is understood that in case of permanent unavailability of the product, Vernisse’s liability shall be limited to the refund of the price paid.

Vernisse remains free not to accept incomplete and / or non-regular purchase orders.

4. Payments

Product prices may be subject to changes; before placing the order, customer are invited to check the exact amount of the final price.

Vernisse allows customers different payment methods via secure system:

(i) credit card

(ii) paypal

If payment is made by credit card, the financial information provided by customers when (number of credit / debit card, expiration date) will be sent by encrypted protocol to the bank which provides remote electronic payment services.

Vernisse will only use this information to complete the customers’ purchase or to reimburse the amount paid in the event a product is not available after payment or in case of exercise of the right of withdrawal, or to prevent or report to the competent frauds to the competent authorities. opaline does not accept payments on delivery or by bank transfer.

5. Consumer code

The sale of products on the website is subject to the current legislation according to the legislative decree no. 6 September 2005, n. 206 and subsequent amendments.

6. Shipping, customs duties and taxes

Vernisse operates with a low stock philosophy and does not maintain internal stock of all products. Vernisse employs made-to-order production for its collection pieces. If an item is not available in stock, it will be put into production and will be ready for shipment within a maximum timeframe of 15 working days.

Upon ordering, customers will be informed whether the purchased item is available in stock for immediate shipment or if it requires production time.

This information will be communicated to the customer by email at the time of purchase. Vernisse endeavors to accommodate customers by expediting the production and shipping process for items not in stock if urgency is indicated by the customer.

Products available in stock are normally delivered in Italy within 5 working days from the order date, and 7 days for all other destinations.

Shipping to remote areas may require longer delivery times. When the order is shipped, customers will receive an email from Vernisse specifying the tracking number and a direct link to monitor the shipment status.

Vernisse delivers products to customers worldwide with express shipping service. Shipments to all countries, including those outside the European Union, are now free of charge.

Taxes and customs duties are covered by Vernisse.

Shipments are usually made from Monday to Friday between 9:30 and 16:30.

7. Return policy and product replacement.

Customers have the right to cancel the order without penalty and without stating the reasons, within 14 working days from the day of the order. The customer must notify the vendor at info@vernisse.it within fourteen (14) calendar days and should return the products in the same condition in which he has received them and at his own expense. 

Unless the return concerns a defective or incorrect product, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, the customer has the option to handle the return shipping personally or request Vernisse (at info@vernisse.it) to generate a shipping label and return instructions. In the latter case, Vernisse will deduct the return shipping costs from the total refund amount."

The products shall be sent to Vernisse at the following address: Vernisse, Piazza Castello 4, 20121, Milano.

In case of withdrawal, Vernisse shall reimburse the customer all sums paid, excluding shipping costs, taxes and custom duties. Customers shall bear the shipping costs for the return of the products to Vernisse’s offices.

Once the returned items is received, Vernisse will provide the refund without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the day Vernisse receives the item back, provided that the return has been approved and the item is undamaged.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the initial transaction, unless you request a refund via a different payment method. In this case, any additional costs incurred for the refund will be charged to you.

Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to custom or personalized products. In any case is possible to send the product back and asking for an adjustment.

If returned goods are found to be damaged, incomplete, or lacking original packaging, the customer may be liable for a diminished value refund, and Vernisse may choose not to accept the return and return the item to the customer at their own expense. The integrity of the products to be returned is an essential condition for the legitimate exercise of the right of withdrawal. The consumer is liable for any diminished value of the products resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

For returns due to defects or nonconformity, please promptly contact us via our web form or by email at info@vernisse.com. We will examine the returned product and notify you of your right to a replacement or refund within a reasonable period of time. Refunds for defective products will include return costs incurred by the customer.
